My Dream Still Sits on the Last Bench

My dream still sits on the last bench,

From where two pairs of eyes,

Placed far away from each other,

Stared for hours,

Longing to be together.

What was love …

Those innocent eyes were far from aware of.

Yet love was what dribbled from there.

Meekly goes hazy all;

Forcing one pair of eyes,

To quest for the other,

In the digs of darkness.

Darkness grows deeper and deeper,

Diluting the other pair;

With the clock striking the early rays;

Into the light of actuality.

For the second time,

Light fades away,

To the dim,

Leaving …

My dream, yet again, on the last bench …

For one more glimpse.

Solitude!

In the wilderness of my solitude,

In the alleys of darkness,

Walked I alone,

With a soul yearning for you.

Oblivion to every creature around,

Searched my eyes only for you,

Ignorance is the sword thou used against me,

Yet my heart hoped  for you.

Togetherness in the next life,
is the oath we have taken.
Death is not I'm scared of,
But desolate I'm 'cos of our separateness.
Prays my heart thus to stop beating now,
only to resurrect  when we are together!

Rain!

You splash my window panes with a thunder,

And I look at you in wonder!

You bring with you colors,

And leave joy on the face of flowers!

You bring happiness,

And take away all the sadness!

Flora and fauna dance with you in ecstasy,

And kids look at you in fantasy!

You are God’s blessing,

Who wet our cheeks with your kissing!

I love you rain,

Come wash away all my pain!
